High School Shadow/Career Exploration Programs
Local high school students that are interested in
aviation as a career can spend time at The Ohio State University Airport
observing staff.
Students participating in the one-day shadow program will spend a day at the airport beginning
with a tour and an overview of our facility. After a short orientation, students
will spend time in several different departments where they will learn how each
functional area contributes to the overall operation of the airport.
Airport staff members also provide a long-term shadow option for high school students
who are pursuing a career in aviation. Spaces for this program are limited, so early
application is suggested.
Participation in either shadow program requires a recommendation from a teacher
or counselor.
