Welcome to The Ohio State University Airport (OSU). OSU is the fourth busiest airport in Ohio according to official airport operations in FY2010 and ranks OSU unchallenged as first above all in general aviation activity*. Dayton International weighs in fifth just after OSU in airport operations. Over the course of FY2010, OSU tower (State Tower) controlled nearly 75-thousand aircraft operations.

In August of 1997, Midwest Air Traffic Control Service, Inc. was contracted by the Federal Aviation Administration to provide air traffic control (ATC) services at the OSU airport. As a service to pilots, State Tower provides the flying public with this information. We hope that it will make your transitions to and from the OSU airport as efficient as possible.

All information is derived from other time-critical air navigation publications, and is subject to change without notice. This resource is not designed to replace these publications; rather, to draw the information together to make a convenient reference.

State Tower interfaces with student pilots with low time to commercial pilots with thousands of hours. Most of the information contained within will apply more to the less experienced pilot, but much of the reference information is valuable to every pilot.
