Master Plan Update
In 2002, The Ohio State University Airport Staff and stakeholders worked with the
consulting team of Wilbur Smith Associates and R.D. Zande Associates to update the Airport's
1990 master plan. The master plan is the first step in the Airport staff's comprehensive
assessment of the actions, facilities, and resources needed to fulfil the Airport's
mission well into the 21st Century.
The planning process focused on landside facilities and the development of the Airport
property, while retaining most of the airside improvements proposed in the 1990
master plan. Specific items include the sitting of a new terminal, expanded parking,
enhanced security, and north side development patterns.
